"Introduction to Basic Boating" Course.
Get certified to operate a recreational vessel up to 65 feet in length and also a personal watercraft.
The course covers a wide variety of vessels from manually propelled vessels to boats/PWC's and even sailboats.
Be legal to operate a vessel in Connecticut, or around the country, or even around the world.
Our personalized custom approach recognizes those people who are beginners looking to start boating safely for the first time or those who have more boating experience but need to be legal.
Our easy to understand classroom format is designed for students age 10 and over.
Courses can be done in person or online virtually thru the Zoom platform.
Upon successful completion of the course you will be able to pay the one-time fee of $50.00 to the State of Connecticut DEEP and print your certificate/license from the state or applicable state.
The Connecticut DEEP CPWO is accepted in all USA Waterways. Certain state laws apply if you are a resident of a state other than Connecticut. Check with your resident state directly or contact us for further information.

You’ve made the investment and bought your boat, but you lack the confidence to travel in it. Overcome this fear by taking a "Coastal Navigation" Course.
You will learn how to safely navigate to different places that you would love to visit.
From Connecticut, you are a boat ride away from Block Island, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Long Island and many other places.
This course will cover voyage planning, course plotting, navigating, chart use and more. We will also discuss how modern electronics work.
All materials are supplied, students should bring a pencil and a battery-operated calculator (most people use their cellphone).
This course qualifies you for the State of Connecticut Coastal Boater Endorsement on your state certificate and is accepted by many insurance companies for a discount on your boat insurance.
